PEDIATRIC NEONATAL NEUROLOGIST, THE UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA,
BC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL & CHILD & FAMILY RESEARCH INSTITUTE (CFRI)
The Division of Pediatric Neurology, Department of Pediatrics, University of British Columbia and the Developmental Neurosciences and Child Health
research cluster at the Child & Family Research Institute seeks a Pediatric Neurologist with expertise in Neonatal Neurology at the Assistant Professor
level to join their well established program.
The Child and Family Research Institute (CFRI) is a partnership of The University of British Columbia (UBC) and the Provincial Health Services
Authority (PHSA) whose member agencies include the BC Children’s Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and the BC Women’s Hospital
and Health Centre. The CFRI is dedicated to high quality research spanning a wide range of concerns relevant to children’s and family health.
This position will have an emphasis on clinical neonatal neuroscience research. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent clinical
research program in neonatal neurology to complement ongoing research activities in the Division and to participate in the clinical and educational
programs of the Division of Neurology.
The successful candidate will have a track record of demonstrated excellence in Neonatal Neurology clinical research, including neonatal brain imaging
research, formal research training, as well as superb teaching and clinical credentials. The successful candidate will have an MD or MD/PhD (or
equivalent) and/or FRCPC (or equivalent). He/she will be eligible to obtain a specialist’s license to practice in British Columbia. Candidates will have
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Pediatric Neurology as well as Fellowship training in Neonatal Neurology.
The successful candidate will be appointed as a member of the full-time faculty and will join a growing and dynamic group of Developmental
Neuroscientists, with access to a world class neuroimaging research facility.

and experiences. This is a full time grant tenure-track appointment and is subject to final budgetary approval.
