Realize. Our greater impact.
Vianne Timmons, President and Vice-Chancellor
recent Conference Board of Canada study confirmed it – the University of Regina is a significant driver of Saskatchewan's A current growth.
Among other things, we generate over $300 million in annual economic activity, our graduates fill more than a third of Saskatchewan's
need for university-educated workforce, and we are significant contributors to the cultural landscape of our city and province.
We're proud of these contributions. We're also proud to host two important Canadian leadership conferences this autumn.
In collaboration with the Conference Board of Canada's Quality Network for Universities and the Canadian Association of University
Business Officers, the University of Regina is hosting NATVAC 2012. For the first time, the conference brings together Canadian university
vice-presidents with academic, finance, administration, research, and student affairs portfolios to focus on the future of the university
sector in these rapidly changing times.
We're also co-hosting the Conference of Western Canadian University Board Secretaries, at which university secretaries from across
western Canada will share best practices and discuss current governance issues.
At the University of Regina we're doing our part to help fuel Saskatchewan's growth and ensure a bright future for Canada's post-secondary sector.
