Wilfrid Laurier University - Tenure-Track Position - Christianity in a Global
Context. The Department of Religion and
Culture invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Christianity in a
Global Context at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2013, subject to
budgetary approval. Preference will be
given to candidates with training in methods of textual interpretation and who are
able to support the undergraduate and graduate programs, including the Laurier-Waterloo Joint PhD in Religious Diversity
in North America. The successful candidate
will be expected to teach four courses per
year, to maintain an active research agenda
and to engage in academic service. A completed PhD in religious studies or related
disciplines is required at the time of

Work Tenure-Track Position. The Lyle S.
Hallman Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid
Laurier University invites applications for a
tenure-track faculty position commencing
July 1, 2013. The appointment may be made
at the Assistant or Associate level. The Fac-
ulty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier Uni-
versity offers professional social work
programs at the Master and Doctoral levels.
The Master of Social Work Program aims to
educate students in advanced social work
scholarship and practice in three fields of
study: Individuals, Families and Groups;
Community, Policy, Planning and Organiza-
tions; and the Aboriginal Field of Study. The
PhD program in Social Work prepares stu-
dents for leadership roles in education,
research and specialized practice within
two fields - Studies in Social Work Practice
(with Individuals, Families, Groups, and
Communities) and Critical Social Policy
and Organizational Studies. Appointees will
be expected to teach and supervise research
at the master's and doctoral levels. The suc-
cessful candidate will be expected to: teach
courses within the individuals, families and
groups concentration in the MSW Program
(the ability to teach quantitative data analy-
sis in our PhD program would be consid-
ered an asset); have a demonstrated record
or exceptional promise of external funding,
achievement and leadership in health stud-
ies (with a preference for candidates whose
research and scholarship focuses on aging
and gerontology); demonstrate competence
in teaching; have experience working with
diverse populations; have at least one
degree in social work and appropriate expe-
rience in working with individuals, families
and groups. Exceptional candidates will be
considered for a leadership role in an
endowed Centre on Health, in collaboration
with other faculty members within the
FSW. Appointment for this position will
commence July 1st, 2013 at rank and salary
commensurate with qualifications and
experience. The position is subject to bud-
getary approval. Applicants should submit

evaluations and/or a dossier); a one- to two-
page statement of teaching and research
interests; full curriculum vitae; sample of
