t the University of Regina, we're stepping away Afrom the ideology that researchers must publish or
perish. We're embracing a new approach. In our
hallways, quality matters, and research impact trumps.
The dozens of research institutes and laboratories on
our campus are operating in fields ranging from particle
physics to climate change, to Indigenous hip hop
culture. The University is home to 10 Canada Research
Chairs, and is the only Canadian institution home to
two Fulbright Scholars this year.
Over the last decade the University of Regina has led
all other medium-sized universities in “research impact”
according to Thomson-Reuters and Web of Science
data. In 2014, Research InfoSource's annual
publication Canada's Innovation Leaders named the
University of Regina the top performer among
comprehensive universities in international research
Our researchers are building Saskatchewan's
international reputation as a leader in innovation. And
they are doing so with quality research that matters. To
us, that's research done right.
