Knowledge is beautiful.
In other words, art students at the U of S are learning
to express their creativity and tell stories through the
medium of comics. These skills help artists share their
perspectives on world events and happenings, which
in turn shape our understanding of life itself.
Within the College of Arts and Science, a new course
on making comics is designed around a combination of
theoretical and studio-based instruction that explores the
discourse and aesthetics of sequential narratives, introducing
practices essential to the craft while contextualizing the
medium in varying works of different artists and genres.
