Knowledge is beautiful.
For our campus community, the centre will celebrate
Aboriginal culture and support our growing First
Nations, Métis and Inuit student population through
services, programs and events. People from across
all cultures can come together to meet and learn in
this welcoming place in the heart of campus.
The recently opened Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student
Centre at the University of Saskatchewan, designed by
renowned Métis and Blackfoot architect Douglas Cardinal,
was inspired by elders’ teachings and the natural beauty
of the prairies, creating an intercultural gathering place
dedicated to Aboriginal student success.
