Lakehead University

Barbara Eccles its

Lakehead’s legal counsel and
interim university secretary since
July 2015. Previously, Ms. Eccles
was senior advisor to the president
and legal counsel, and head of
Lakehead’s innovation manage-
ment program.

On Sept. 1, Nancy
Ross began a new
role as McGill
University’s associate
vice-principal, research and
innovation. An associate member
in the department of epidemiol-
ogy, biostatistics and occupational
expertise include ethical issues
faced by health care professionals,
mental health and addictions,
palliative care and northern
health issues.

Québec à Rimouski
(UQTR) a un

la recherche, Marc-André Villard,

professeur en biologie à l’Université
de Moncton. M. Villard cumule

comme chercheur et professeur.

Tim Loreman has
been named Concor-

Edmonton’s next
president, with a mandate begin-
ning in spring 2017. Dr. Loreman
has been at the university for the
past 14 years, most recently serving
as vice-president, academic, and
provost. A professor in Concordia’s
department of education, he is
an active researcher in the field of

editor of the International Journal
of Whole Schooling and co-editor
of Exceptionality Education Interna-
tional.

Un nouveau directeur général de l’Université TÉLUQ

Martin Noël a été nommé directeur général de
l’Université TÉLUQ , un établissement du réseau
de l’Université du Québec et la seule université
francophone en Amérique du Nord à offrir tous
ses cours à distance. M. Noël, qui assumait l’intérim
de ce poste depuis le 16 novembre 2015, a débuté son nouveau
mandat de cinq ans le 18 août dernier. En 2001, M. Noël a
commencé sa carrière à la TÉLUQ comme professeur en
méthodes quantitatives et gestion des opérations à l’École des
sciences de l’administration (ESA), pour ensuite exercer la
fonction de directeur de l’ESA en 2007. Depuis 2010, il était
directeur des affaires académiques de l’Université TÉLUQ.
