Civil and Environmental Engineering
» BUILDING MATERIALS ENGINEERING;Requires research expertise in the
characterization and analysis of materials for emerging and/or traditional
applications, such as building envelopes and systems, reuse or repurposing
of materials or structures, service-life extension, 3D printing of building
components, resiliency of infrastructure, sustainable infrastructure, and
structural health monitoring.
» GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING;Requires expertise in computational
geomechanics, dynamic soil characterization, subsurface energy resources,
soil and/or rock mechanics including micromechanics and coupled processes,
tunnelling, soil/rock structure interaction, earth structure engineering,
bio-geotechnical engineering, or other emerging research areas involving
geomechanics.
» WATER TREATMENT AND SUPPLY;The successful candidate will have a
demonstrated focus on high-quality research related to the water treatment and
supply sector and have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with industry partners.
Electrical and Computer Engineering
» COMPUTER SYSTEMS SOFTWARE A tenure-track position for a Candidate
with a demonstrated research record in building, evaluating, experimenting
with, and scaling of computer systems software, with contributions being
publishable in operating systems venues.
» COMPUTER ENGINEERING AND SOFTWARE A tenure-track position in
computer engineering, software systems, and computer science. Will teach
a mix of undergraduate courses, and develop and teach innovative graduate
courses; evidence of active research program is required.
» POWER SYSTEMS AND HIGH VOLTAGE ENGINEERING Requires research
specialization in one or more of the following: Electric Machines, Switchgear
and Protection; High Voltage Engineering; Power Electronics; Pulsed Power;
and Nanomaterials applied to Power and Automobile Industries.
Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering
» BIOMECHANICAL AND ASSISTIVE ROBOTICS Requires demonstrated
research strengths in biomechanical, biomedical, and/or assistive robotics,
including, but not limited to, interests in exoskeletons, rehabilitation robots,
human-robot interaction, and/or collaborative robots.

» FATIGUE AND LIFE ENHANCEMENT OF LIGHT WEIGHT
MATERIALS Experience in experimental fatigue
analysis required. Duties will also include developing
and teaching traditional and on-line courses at the
undergraduate and graduate levels, and advising
graduate and undergraduate students in the area
of solid mechanics and design.
» FLUID MECHANICS Duties will include developing
and maintaining an active and internationally recognized
research program, teaching at the undergraduate
and graduate level, and advising graduate and
undergraduate students.
» MATERIALS AND WELDING METALLURGY Expertise in
phase transformations, physical metallurgy and material
properties as applied to welding and joining are preferred
as applicant will work closely with Research Chair in
Welding & Joining for Energy Infrastructure and will
have undergraduate and graduate teaching duties.
» MECHATRONICS Requires demonstrated research
strength in intelligent vehicles or additive manufacturing,
and have a commitment to establishing a multi-disciplinary
collaborative program.
» ORTHOPAEDIC SPINAL BIOMECHANICS Applicants
should have a background in implant design and
evaluation for both fixation and arthroplasty applications
and be committed to establishing a multi-disciplinary
collaborative program.
